| Abstract: | This thesis investigates a novel business concept in the hospitality industry, focusing on the implementation of a spa facility (therme) in the Tula region of Russia. The study explores how integrating therme facilities into existing hotel operations can provide a competitive advantage, especially in small regional markets. The research uses the case of Park-Hotel "Plazma" to illustrate both the opportunities and challenges associated with introducing a therme model that does not rely on natural thermal springs but simulates the wellness experience through modern infrastructure and services. The study is driven by three main research questions: (1) identifying key motivational factors that drive guests from Central Russia to visit wellness facilities, (2) determining the critical elements necessary for building a strong wellness brand within this regional context, and (3) analyzing the business potentials that an existing hotel can realize after successfully implementing a therme facility. |
