Kivonat:This thesis explores the impact of sustainable strategies implemented at large-scale music events on the audience in Hungary. The research investigates how these initiatives influence attendees' environmental awareness, engagement, decision-making, and long-term behavior. The study employs a quantitative method, using an online questionnaire distributed to Hungarian residents who have attended such events, supplemented by a review of existing literature on sustainability and event management. The findings indicate that while a majority of attendees consider sustainability important, in-depth knowledge of sustainable practices varies. Sustainability can influence audience choices, particularly when event efforts are clearly communicated. The research concludes that there is a growing awareness and expectation for sustainability at large-scale music events in Hungary, highlighting opportunities for event organizers to enhance communication, implement innovative practices, and effectively engage audiences, thereby fostering more environmentally conscious attitudes and behaviors.
