By combining quantitative survey data and qualitative netnographic analysis, the study examines how translation technologies, especially voice-based features support real-time communication, influence traveler satisfaction, and compare to traditional methods of overcoming language barriers. The findings reveal that Google Translate is widely used, particularly during the active travel phase, where real-time problem solving is crucial. While text translation remains the most popular feature, voice translation has proven to be especially valuable in urgent, spontaneous interactions. Despite certain limitations, such as challenges with context, idioms, and offline use, travelers generally view AI translation tools as confidence-boosting and empowering companions. The research also highlights how tourists adapt their behaviour to make better use of translation technology. Practical recommendations are offered for the tourism industry, emphasizing how businesses can better integrate translation technologies to create more inclusive and accessible experiences. Overall, the thesis reflects on the growing emotional and psychological significance of AI translation tools in travel and calls for thoughtful innovation that preserves authentic human connections while improving communication.
