Kivonat:This thesis explores the potential of promoting cultural tourism through traditional craft villages in Hue City, Vietnam, a UNESCO-recognized heritage destination renowned for its historical and artisanal significance. Focusing on villages like Phu Cam, Thanh Tien, and Phuoc Tich, the study examines their cultural and economic contributions, opportunities for tourism integration, and challenges such as limited awareness, inadequate infrastructure, and sustainability pressures. Using a quantitative approach with surveys of artisans, residents, tourists, and officials, the research highlights strong cultural value and demand for interactive experiences, but identifies barriers like low visitation and marketing gaps. Recommendations include enhancing digital marketing via platforms like TikTok, improving infrastructure, expanding experiential offerings, supporting artisans through subsidies and apprenticeships, fostering stakeholder collaboration, and creating themed tourism routes. Grounded in Sustainable Tourism and Community-Based Tourism frameworks, the study offers actionable strategies to balance cultural preservation with economic growth, contributing to Hue’s sustainable tourism development and providing insights for heritage-based tourism globally.
