| Abstract: | This thesis explores the key factors influencing employee turnover and the effectiveness of retention strategies in the front offices of selected Marriott hotels in Budapest. Emotional exhaustion, irregular schedules, limited career development opportunities, inadequate management support, and communication barriers emerged as major causes of turnover. The study highlights that salary alone is insufficient to retain employees. Instead, relational leadership, strong peer support, career advancement pathways, and systematic employee recognition significantly enhance job satisfaction and loyalty. The findings emphasize the need for better HR practices, including recruitment aligned with emotional resilience, mentorship programs, and transparent communication to improve retention and foster a sustainable, motivated workforce in the competitive hospitality sector. |
