| Abstract: | In today’s fast-paced world, more and more people are trying to lead healthier lifestyles, and eating well is a big part of that. But with so much advice out there—especially on social media—it’s easy to get confused about what’s actually healthy. In one part of my thesis, I am examining how common misconceptions about healthy eating affect people’s food choices and overall health. The idea for this study came from seeing how popular fad diets and so-called “miracle” health trends can do more harm than good, sometimes even leading to long-term health issues. In the other part I am looking for answers to the question on howhealthy eating appears in hospitality and how intolerances affect it.Drawing from both surveys and interviews, the study explores how people understand and act on health and nutrition advice, and how myths can shape their habits. |
