The aim of this study is to examine the impact of financial literacy on the financial well-being of young residents of Kazakhstan. The research employed both qualitative and quantitative methods, including statistical data from 2009–2024, expert interview, sociological survey and focus-group. To analyze the collected information, SWOT analysis and the SWOT decision matrix were applied, allowing the identification of strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats, as well as the determination of strategic development directions. The study found that the level of financial literacy among Kazakhstani individuals aged 18 to 30 remains low, leading to inefficient personal finance management and increasing debt. The main causes are a lack of information and limited interest in financial education. To address this issue, it is recommended to introduce elective financial literacy courses in schools and universities, promote practical learning formats, develop digital tools (eg. online educational platforms and mobile applications) and raise awareness through social media campaigns and collaboration with banks and financial experts. Implementing these measures will help cultivate responsible financial behavior among the younger generation and strengthen the country’s economic stability.
