Kivonat:With the prosperity of the economy and the improvement of people‟s living standard, which makes people start consuming more and more product and there is always a continuously increased demand from customers for wide range of products. In view of the present situation, in order to satisfy customers‟ requirement in a better way, more and more companies not only decide to enter in the market, but also thinking of expanding their business. At the same time, the maturity of the market arouses the people start having a thought of starting their own business. However, due to the fact that many of them lack experience and capital. Therefore, most of them start with franchise, because it can have a carry-over effect from the franchisor and share the brand value and reputation which can reduce a plenty amount of cost for building up the brand reputation etc. In the dissertation, I would like to introduce the strategies of the expanding or opening a business but mainly focus on the franchising and compare with other strategies. Moreover, I will analyze the type of franchising, the effect and how it contributes to the retail growth with purpose of giving the information and examples to those who wants to expand their business or those who want to start their business through franchising. The aim of this dissertation is to clarify the role and influence of franchise in retail growth strategy.
