| Kivonat: | Laos is a landlocked country located in the Indochina Central region. A recent study shows that the costs of High logistic costs in Laos are still a significant barrier to business activities, with the number of 6.5 million of the population the logistics sectors are unimproved which the prices of the logistics services are significantly higher compared to the neighboring countries. Successful products and services that are imports shipped to the final destination need the proper logistics services to connect regional and international retail goods; Therefore, the government has the policy to convert itself to a land-linked country to address its geographical disadvantage and lower cost of transport and logistics for export products. the Laos government has emphasized the infrastructure sectors by spending numerous funds to transform Laos into a land-linked country by BRI project. based on the research this project will create the opportunity for Laos to reduces logistic cost and get lower prices of goods and services, facilitate the trading relationship with other country in the region, especially Chinese as the main trading partner of Laos.Keywords: BRI project, Land-locked country, Transport cost in Laos.
