EU projects and its impact on Hungarian businesses

| Kivonat: | In this thesis my objective is to look at the European Union Funded projects and its effects on Hungarian businesses as I was always fascinated by this Union and how it works. To do this I have looked at the history of the European Union first, how it became about, its evolution through the years since after world war two and its biggest expansion of both member states and its economic and political reach. Then I have looked at the individual projects that EU helps countries through such as European Regional Development Fund, European Social Fund, Cohesion Fund European Agricultural Fund for Rural Developments and European maritime and fisheries Fund etc. The European Union helps developing member states economies through these projects. After that I have looked at Hungarian specific projects that took place in this country such as Budapest Bikes project, Mobile communications system on railway, Metro line 3 renovation project and flood defense and water management in more detail I was also interested in just how well do people or companies know about the European Union and its projects so I sent out a survey to about 50 companies and 20 of them filled it in surprisingly. Couple of interesting results came out of that. While I was working on my internship at Bookfut Plusz Kft. I also had an opportunity to look at an EU funded project in detail that the company has participated in. |
