Abstract:Most scholars define digital diplomacy as the involvement of diplomats (and diplomacy agencies) on social media to build and maintain relationships with foreign publics. Although the term is limited in use in diplomatic, political, and media dictionaries, digital diplomacy today plays a notable role in shaping international relations. E-diplomacy is currently experiencing fundamental changes These developments affect both domestic and foreign affairs. Technological advances, particularly digitization, have influenced how diplomats' activities being implicated. This research explored the phenomenon of modern digital diplomacy. Investigating the new change brought to diplomatic structures, functions, and practices that have been affected by the evolution in Information and communications technology. It examines the opportunities and challenges provided by social media platforms. And answering the question of whether digital diplomacy can be a primary method of communication during the crises
