Kivonat:The management of the impacts of the pandemic on the operation of restaurants in Budapest and the metropolitan area is examined in this thesis. Investigation of the potential impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on the performance of restaurants in Budapest and the metropolitan area and managerial and organizational adjustments are unfolded. It also contains an examination of how customer behaviour transformed in terms of attitude and expectations. This study deals with the negative and positive effects caused by the pandemic, from several points of view, but mainly with an economic focus on restaurants. Practical methods were used in this research, including analytics of the effects of the pandemic on consumer behaviour and also restaurant owners and managers concerning their management. Based on the questionnaires connection was drawn that with the continuously changing demand caused by the pandemic, the supply of restaurants adjusted to many unexpected changes.
