| Abstract: | The COVID-19 pandemic has had a negative economic impact on countries all around the world, and recently, several solutions have been developed to lessen its effects. The purpose of this thesis is to examine how monetary policies have evolved in response to COVID-19, in order to gain a better understanding of the actions taken by policy makers globally. I used the secondary research method to point out its effects on countries as well as the monetary and fiscal policies designed to deal with the above issues. Finally, I analyzed the results as well as the consequences that countries have to face after a period of applying urgent monetary policies to deal with the short-term financial problems. |
