Description
Abstract:Economic growth, job creation, and poverty alleviation are all areas where Northeast China might benefit greatly from more tourism. Yet, there are considerable obstacles, including a lack of sustainable tourism practices, inadequate infrastructure, and limited marketing and promotion techniques. This thesis looks at successful European experiences in the tourist sector to find tactics and policies that may be applied to the specifics of Northeast China's situation. The purpose of this research is to examine the views of Northeast Chinese stakeholders and visitors on the growth of the region's tourism industry, as well as their thoughts on the methods used in Europe. Infrastructure and facilities, marketing and promotion strategies, utilizing tourism products and services, sustainability and diversification strategies, government supportive policies, and gender and income disparities are all highlighted as important considerations for advancing tourism development in Northeast China. Finally, the thesis finishes with suggestions on how Northeast Chinese authorities and tourism professionals might improve the region's tourist industry's long-term viability, competitiveness, and economic effect.
