Kivonat:The development of the tourism industry plays aprominent role in Vietnam’s economic growth. From the first day tourism wasestablished until the present, the rate of tourist influx growth hasaccelerated significantly. This means that there will be increased demand forlodging, transportation, and other relevant categories. If the host nationfails to preserve the natural environment of the destination due to theintensity of these activities, severe consequences will effect the long-termviability of the entire industry, if not the entire economy. The previousresearch scarcely examined the attitudes and behaviors of the new, rapidly expandinggeneration Z of travelers. By conducting secondary research, variousperspectives and hypotheses regarding the characteristics of this generationalcohort and its sustainability-oriented attitudes and behaviors, as well asenvironmental impacts and sustainability, will be discussed, laying thegroundwork for the research. By providing diverse survey results of primaryresearchand analyzing those data, the research questions are answered andthe paper's purpose is attained. Overall, all sample members have a profoundrespect for the significance of a sustainable natural environment at thedestination, although their attitudes and behaviors vary across environmentalprotection categories and their concern for each varies as well. The researchalso aims tocompile all potential solutions from respondents'responsethat could be effective for organizations and related entities todeal with this generation. Finally, the study provides recommendations forstakeholders based on the collected results.
