Abstract:This thesis investigates the resilience and adaptation strategies of the restaurant industry during the 2022 energy crisis. The study seeks to comprehend the impact of the crisis on the restaurant industry and to investigate innovative practices used by restaurants to overcome challenges. The study employs a mixed-method approach to data collection, combining interviews and surveys with restaurant owners, managers, and customers.This thesis contributes to the understanding of how the restaurant industry can improve its resilience and adapt to future crises by examining restaurant responses to the 2022 energy crisis. The findings have implications for restaurant owners, managers, policymakers, and researchers interested in food service crisis management and sustainable practices.
