Kivonat:In this research paper, theauthor explores if Russia suffers from "Dutchdisease" by studying the history of its occurrence and the importanceof the phenomenon. Real cases are studied, analyzing the examples of theeconomies and economic policies of different countries, where it wassuccessful, and where it turned into failure. The author reveals the maincauses of "Dutch disease" as well as the main signs of itsmanifestation. In order to answer the research question: are there symptoms of"Dutch disease" in the Russian economy? The author, on the basis ofthe studied cases, as well as already existing theories about "Dutchdisease", highlights the main symptoms of this phenomenon. After it thediagnostics of the Russian economy for the presence of "Dutchdisease" is carried out by collecting, analyzing and calculatingstatistical data on the main macroeconomic indicators of the country. In thisway, the main symptoms of "Dutch disease" in the Russian economy wereconfirmed or refuted. The author made the following conclusion:­ since most ofthe symptoms of "Dutch disease" were confirmed, it is most likelythat this indicates the presence of this phenomenon in the studied country. Inaddition, the author expresses his own opinion and assesses the dependence ofthe Russian economy on energy resources.
