Abstract:In the recent decades, business community is increasingly becoming concerned about the implementation of sustainability practices to ensure businesses have less impact on the environment, and among the wide variety of practices that can be adopted Green human resource management seems to have become increasingly popular. Applying green Human Resources practices in the organisation to achieve sustainability objectives. The paper largely focuses on studying the real impact of Green human resource management on organisational performance through employee performance that act as an intermediate factor. Finally the paper adds to the extant literature by discussing how Optimising employee performance can be achieved through implementing sustainable strategies in the Human Resources Management to optimise the over all performance and competitiveness of the organisation.
