Kivonat:This thesis is about the marketing strategy of Volkswagen towards electric mobility by granting a historical overview, examination of relevant literature and a Hungarian market perspective through an online survey. With sustainability and the electric vehicle getting more popular due to certain climate regulations imposed on automakers and the general stride towards a greener future in terms of travel becoming a key problem to solve, it is important to analyze this segment. Global sales suggest a general succes, however a portion of the Hungarian market represented by my survey shows reluctance due to infrastructure and pricing issues. Despite these issues in that market the rise of the electric vehicle is the likely future trend for automakers to follow, with technological developements EVs have the chance to become the future of mainstream travel.
