| Abstract: | This paper explores the potential impacts of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) on job roles within the event management industry. Generative AI, such as ChatGPT and DALL-E, offers capabilities like content creation, personalization, and process optimization, which may transform current practices. Using a mixed-method approach of questionnaires and expert interviews, the study examines how these technologies are perceived and utilized in the field. Findings reveal limited current use, with applications in content creation and task organization, but highlight growing concerns about reliability and the need for human creativity and emotional intelligence. The research concludes that generative AI will complement rather than replace human workers, enhancing productivity while emphasizing the continued importance of human-centric skills in an industry defined by creativity and connection. |
