Digital transformation—fueled by advances in Information Technology (IT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI)—is reshaping industries, particularly in the electronic devices and components sector, where a solid IT foundation is crucial to organizational success, essentially for thriving in the competitive landscape and the fast-paced generation of AI. In this context, the European market offers both significant risks and promising opportunities, as ongoing technological advancements continue to reshape the way we live and work. This thesis examines market entry strategies for Vietnamese small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Europe’s electronic devices and components sector. Adopting a predominantly qualitative research design, the study draws on primary data collected through in-depth interviews with SME managers and complements these insights with secondary data from case studies, trade reports, regulatory frameworks, and analyses of international market conditions. While the qualitative interviews provide rich, contextual understandings of the challenges and opportunities faced by Vietnamese exporters, the integration of national statistics and other quantitative sources enriches the analysis by contextualizing market trends and competitive dynamics. The findings underscore strategic considerations for market entry, propose supportive policies to enhance global competitiveness, and highlight the importance of technological innovation for sustainable, long-term growth. Ultimately, this research serves as a valuable reference for Vietnamese policymakers in developing practical frameworks that foster the stability and continued development of the country’s export-driven economy. | |
