| Abstract: | In this thesis, we will analyse the importance of FDI and their types, the contributions they provide to Turkey’s economy and the risks they bring with them. We will look deeper into the key sectors that receive FDI contributions and how investments in these sectors are transformed over time. We will investigate sectoral changes in foreign direct investment inflows and their contribution to different industries. In addition, we will try to see which macroeconomic indicators are positively affected by FDI. After that, we will try to understand the risks that FDI brings along with its positive effects and how we can minimise these risks when we consider the conditions of Turkey. |
